Studies agree, Audi Satisfies again

Audi ranked third among nameplates in the 2014 J.D. Power APEAL (Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout) Study

When looking for your next vehicle you may want to ask around and see how your friends like their vehicles. But, how about we save you the time and ask 86,000 “friends” for you? That’s exactly what the 2014 J.D. Power APEAL (Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout) Study does. And, guess what brand was satisfying customers again and again? You guessed it, Audi took home multiple wins in customer APEAL.

How do you measure Satisfaction?

AudiCarThe 19th annual J.D. Power ‘APEAL’ (Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout) Study measures the attitudes of customers who purchased or leased a new 2014 model-year vehicle and  looks at how gratifying a vehicle is to own and drive after at least 90 days of ownership. More than 86,000 U.S. customers where polled with questions designed to evaluate vehicle performance and design. After being scored on 77 attributes, each vehicle and nameplate earn an overall APEAL score based on a 1,000 point scale. The overall premium industry average was 794 points, while the Adui scored well above the premium average with 858 total points. With sixty-four points above the average Audi is the third highest ranking nameplate in the study.

A8 and Q5 Receive Highest Honors

Receiving the highest honors in a category is truly an honor. It means that customers in that segment were the most satisfied with their vehicle. The Audi A8 received the APEAL award for Large Premium Car. The Audi A8 offers distinctive luxury design and comfort along with uncompromising fuel efficiency.   With the legendary quattro® all-wheel drive system drivers are able to maximize handling on nearly any road.

The Audi Q5 was awarded the APEAL for the Compact Premium SUV.  Customers enjoy the combination of ideal functionality and efficiency without lowering the SUV performance thanks to the quattro® all-wheel drive system.The Q5 has the higher ground clearance of an SUV that customers enjoy with the handling of a sport sedan and the cabin of a luxury car.

On the Podium

Four additional models received high honors and were within the top three places in their categories. The Audi A5 and A4 were recognized on the podium for second and third place in the Compact Premium Car segment. In the Midsize Premium Car segment the Audi A7 and A6 were recognized as second and third in the rankings. The popular Audi Q7 ranked fifth among other Midsize Premium SUVs.
