Acura Santa Barbara is supporting the growth and development of local youth by collecting school supply donations for Franklin Elementary School.
Southern California Acura Dealers is making a donation of 1,500 backpacks, each filled with 20 basic school supply items such as pencils, erasers, paper, and more to schools throughout Southern California through a program with Kids in Need Foundation. The school chosen in Santa Barbara is Franklin Elementary School.
Kids in Need Foundation is an organization dedicated to providing free school supplies to students living in poverty. “We are very happy to be participating in this program and giving back to the community. Kids in Need Foundation is an organization that does great work and we are looking forward to gathering as many school supplies as possible,” said Santa Barbara Auto Group Sales Manager Duane Sanders.
You Can Help
In addition to the donation from SoCal Acura, Acura Santa Barbara will be contributing and also accepting donations from the community.
You may be most familiar with school drives held at the beginning of the school year but this is also a great time of year to provide school supplies because many kids return from winter break and don’t have enough supplies to get through the end of the year.
Acura Santa Barbara’s school supply drive is accepting donations now until January 31st. Please stop by and make a donation:
